I'm running for a seat on the Lynden School Board in 2025, and I need your help! Please tell five people about my campaign—friends, neighbors, coworkers—anyone who cares about the future of our schools and community.
Nick Sawka, Lynden parent, talks about his love for the town, his schoolboard run, potential issues and hopes for the community.
I'm proud Lynden resident, U.S. Coast Guard retiree, and dedicated father. After 20 years of service and a move from Michigan, my family chose Lynden for its small-town values and strong sense of community. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and bring both leadership and real-world experience to every role I take on. Over the past four years, I’ve coached my daughters’ sports teams, led the All-Pro Parents program at Fisher Elementary, and served as president of the Lynden Breakfast Kiwanis Club. In the past year alone, our club collected over $2,000 worth of toys for our annual toy drive and donated over $17,000 in scholarships and support to local youth programs. I’m running for Lynden School Board Director, Position 5, to bring strong values, critical thinking, and a deep commitment to our community’s children. I would be honored to earn your vote—thank you for your support!
If you have any question please let me know and maybe we could grab a cup of coffee?
